Established in 2012, Burlesque wines is a boutique winery. Developed from the passion to make great wines.
Being a boutique winery has many advantages. We select premium grapes and hand pick them when flavours are at optimum levels.
We carefully manage the winemaking process from start to finish and test in our laboratory, making fine adjustments.
Selection of yeasts is important and is treated with respect.
As a winemaker I love working with the grapes and yeasts through the whole process of turning juice into wine.
My favourite part is adding my influence to produce wonderful wines. Family and friends are important to me and I have enjoyed their help in picking and bottling.
Burlesque Wines are made for family and friends and are not for sale, sorry.
Our first production was 23 dozen bottles of Nebbiolo, a classic Italian red.
In 2013 we produced 14 dozen bottles of Adelaide Hills Pinot Grigio and 25 dozen bottles of McLaren Vale Shiraz.
At the start of the 2014 vintage we have Pinot Grigio, Merlot Rose and Shiraz all from the Adelaide Hills.
The 2018 vintage has been exciting. I enjoyed making a Pinot Grigio and Prosecco for Kellie and Greg's wedding which was well received,
I had many lovely comments on the wedding day (not quiet as many as the bride and groom!).
In addition to that I made a Shiraz, Grenache Rose, Grillo (Italian white) and a Nero d’ Avola (Italian red).
I opened the winery to two wine making students helping them make their friends and family wine, a Grenache made from very old bush vines.
I also ran an exclusive “Introduction to wine making” for two very close friends. It was very enjoyable. Together we made an exceptional wine.

2019 the Winery will be moving to Canberra, Australia's Capital Territory, so no wine making in 2019. Stay tuned for 2020 for cool climate wines where I
plan to make a Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The 40th Australian National Armature wine and beer competition will be on in October 2019,
